CastOnAir is a trading name of Streamerz Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number [COMPANY NO.], registered office [REGISTERED ADDRESS] (“CastOnAir”, “we”, “us”). We are the data controller for personal data collected through castonair.com and the CastOnAir service. This policy explains what we collect and why, under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

• Account and contact details — name, email, station name and anything you send us through our forms.
• Billing details — handled by Stripe. We receive the payment status and the last four digits of your card, never your full card number.
• Service data — your station settings, uploaded media and logs of how the panel is used.
• Listener data — when people listen to your station, our servers process their IP address, approximate location, device and listening time to deliver the stream and produce your statistics.
• Website analytics — pages visited and device information, using Google Analytics where you consent.

Why we use it

• To provide the Service and support you (performance of a contract).
• To take payments and keep accounting records (contract and legal obligation).
• To keep the Service secure and improve it (legitimate interests).
• To send product news, only where you have agreed (consent — you can unsubscribe at any time).

Who we share it with

We only share data with service providers who help us run CastOnAir, under contract: our payment provider (Stripe), our server and storage hosts [e.g. Contabo, Backblaze, Hostinger], our email delivery provider, and Google (analytics). For apps and Alexa skills, data needed to publish is shared with Apple, Google and Amazon. We do not sell personal data.

International transfers

Some providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on adequacy regulations or approved safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept while your account is active and for 30 days after it ends. Billing records are kept for 6 years for tax purposes. Listener logs are kept for up to 12 months to provide statistics.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent. Email support@castonair.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Stations and their listeners

For listener data processed on behalf of a station, the station decides how its stream is used and may have its own privacy notice; we process that data to provide the Service to the station.
